Platelet-Rich Plasma for Hair -
The Process -
- The clients blood is drawn from their arm and put into a centrifuge to concentrate your blood.
- After 10minutes in the centrifuge your blood will have separated into three sections. Red blood cells, Platelet-poor Plasma and Platelet-rich Plasma. The Plasma is then drawn up into a syringe and injected into the areas needed to enhance and promote hair growth.
Why would you want PRP for hair ?
Hair loss is common both in men and woman affecting 1in5 woman over the age of 25 years, resulting in thinner hair or hair loss. If your a man the odds are extremely higher.
How does it work ?
PRP is a non-surgical invasive treatment. Using a micro needle and Derma-roller device that creates tiny puncture holes which then allows the regenerating Platelet-Rich Plasma into the skin. Although this may sound unpleasant the holes are so small that it is more comfortable then expected. Your practitioner will use a anaesthetic cream to help numb your head and reduce any discomfort.
